How is this different from homeowner's insurance?

Preferred Platinum Jewelry Care offers repair or replacement coverage and repair services due to accidental damage occurring during normal wear. Preferred Platinum also offers coverage for specific maintenance repair during the life of the Agreement. Homeowner’s insurance covers against loss, theft, fire or mysterious disappearance. Preferred Platinum Jewelry Care covers the gaps in homeowner’s insurance, making our plans the perfect complement.

How much does the Plan cost?

The cost of the Preferred Platinum care plan varies depending on the price of the item purchased. Once purchased, there are no shipping charges for repair or any other hidden costs.

Jewelry: Our lifetime jewelry plans provide coverage for rings, engagement rings, wedding bands, earrings, necklaces, pearls and more.

Watch: Our 5-year watch plans provided coverage for metal, leather and rubber straps and bands, stem, crown, bezel, crystal and mechanical failure.

What is the length of coverage?

Our jewelry care plan provides lifetime coverage, while our watch care plan provides 5-year coverage.

Can I extend my coverage?

Unfortunately, the Preferred Platinum Jewelry Care plans cannot be extended and are not renewable.

Claims / Service

What if I need service?

To have services performed, please go to your original retailer or another registered Preferred Platinum care plan service provider. Be sure to take your original sales receipt and covered product to the servicing retailer or call or email the Preferred Platinum Jewelry Care Customer Care Center at 866-708-8698 or email claims@preferred-platinum.com.

One of Administrator's authorized jewelers or jewelry repair centers.

What if my covered product can't be repaired?

If a valid claim exists and the covered product cannot be repaired, the covered product may be replaced, or you may be reimbursed in an amount equal to the purchase price of the covered product less any claims paid under the service agreement.
